Helsinki, Finland, and Scottsdale, Arizona, March 5th 2012
Solibri, Inc., the leader in Model Checking technology and innovation for design quality assurance and BIM analysis, announces the release and immediate availability of Solibri Model Checker v7.1. This release introduces many new or extended features requested by our customers to further enhance our capabilities in BIM quality assurance and building code checking processes, as well as support for several public BIM requirements.
Solibri, Inc. Leads BIM Innovation –Support for BIM Requirements and Building Code Analysis
Widespread adoption of building information modeling (BIM) in many countries can be attributed to the establishment and publishing of BIM requirements, mostly by innovative owners and public agencies. These BIM requirements are important as they define the information required for consistent and reliable area calculations, cost estimations, energy analysis, and code compliance.
Solibri Model Checker 7.1 introduces the ability to verify BIM compliance with the recently published Norwegian Statsbygg BIM Manual, the National BIM Requirements of Finland (to be published in March 2012), and enhanced building code checking capabilities.
“These and many other BIM requirements are made out of necessity. We have new targets for energy efficiency that require accurate calculations based on the information that is already included in the BIM designs. The quality of the analysis is only as good as the quality of the information provided. BIM requirements establish the minimum level of information and what information is important, or not, at a specific phase”, states Mr. Heikki Kulusjärvi, CEO of Solibri, Inc.
Sophisticated Tools for Supporting BIM QA/QC Process
Solibri Model Checker v7.1 delivers new functionality for our customers with an intelligent measurement tool, redlining, and BIM Collaboration BCF1 enhancements for the Quality Assurance and Control process. This is just a small sampling of this version's new features.
These new capabilities are based on the needs of our customers, which includes leading BIM companies and some very advanced public organizations. “Solibri gratefully acknowledges the contributions of our customers. They provide us with excellent feedback, enabling us to help them achieve significant benefits by implementing BIM on a large scale” continues Mr. Kulusjärvi.
