Course Overview
The Fire Stopping Introduction course is optional and designed for those wishing to focus on fire-stopping workflows, specifically service penetration checks. This training provides an overview of how Solibri’s Fire Stopping (BIM Coordination+ Extension) helps ensure compliance with fire safety standards by validating penetrations and openings in building models.
The extension checks that fire-stopping elements are correctly identified, positioned, and sized. It also verifies distances between fire-stopping components and other elements, ensuring compatibility and proper support. Additional checks include clearance around penetrations and compliance with acceptable limits for openings and thicknesses. These automated checks help reduce risk and improve confidence in fire safety compliance.
This course is delivered using Solibri Desktop Advanced which builds upon the rule-based model checking foundation established by Solibri Office, extending it with structured governance, enhanced data validation workflows, and scalable quality assurance capabilities. For users familiar with Solibri Office, core workflows remain directly comparable—ensuring continuity while enabling access to expanded functionality.
