Solibri 9.13.6 Release Notes
This version introduces IDS (Information Delivery Specification) pre-release, integrations with SharePoint and OneDrive, and UX improvements, such as enhanced Drag & Drop functionality.
Improvements
The newest Solibri Office release (v 9.13.6) is packed with new integrations and user experience improvements! We are excited to introduce the IDS (Information Delivery Specification) pre-release for better BIM model verification, SharePoint and OneDrive integrations, and an enhanced Drag & Drop feature. In addition to that, we streamlined filtering and added a right-click feature for creating filters, classifications, and ITOs.
Drag and Drop Info view properties
Building on our initial introduction of the Drag and Drop feature in Version 9.13.5, where users could simply drag and drop files into Solibri, we’ve enhanced its functionality in this version.
Now, beyond just files like IFC, Filter, Classification, ITO and others, users can also drag and drop Info View properties. This means you can select rows in Info View and drag them to different views in Solibri.
This enhanced feature improves numerous tasks:
- Filters: Information dragged can instantly prefill filters, streamlining the filtering process.
- Classifications: By dragging information, users can swiftly create new classifications. Additionally, data can be used to add columns to existing classifications or even to prefill classification filters.
- Information Takeoff (ITO): Much like the classifications, the drag-and-drop feature allows for the effortless creation of ITOs. You can also drag information to insert columns to your ITOs. Inserting ITO filters is not yet supported.
This substantial expansion of the Drag and Drop feature is designed to provide users with a smoother, more integrated experience, minimizing clicks and maximizing productivity.

IDS Rule Pre-release
In our pursuit of innovation and staying ahead of industry standards, we are excited to introduce the advancement of our IDS (Information Delivery Specification) integration within Solibri. Here’s what you need to know:
Our prior engagement with IDS was built around a pre-release candidate, grounded in version v0.9.6, given the absence of an official v1.0 by buildingSMART. With this in our toolbox, the essence of this Solibri rule is to empower users to swiftly upload an IDS file – either through the convenient drag-and-drop method or via direct selection. Once uploaded, Solibri springs into action, checking whether specific model components (termed ‘applicability’) align with the requirements defined in the IDS file.
But what is IDS all about?
Information Delivery Specification (IDS) is an emerging standard proposal under the umbrella of buildingSMART and it represents a visionary approach to the exchange of information requirements. IDS is designed to be read by both humans and machines and is intended to replace certain features of the existing mvdXML format (buildingSMART). While mvdXML is multifunctional, IDS focuses on a single but central task: verifying that the information embodied in the IDS file is embedded in a BIM model.

Sharepoint and OneDrive integration
Our new integrations leverage the power of API connectivity and create a seamless link between Solibri, SharePoint, and OneDrive. With this dynamic link, you can effortlessly open a variety of files, including IFC, SMC, PDF, and DWG, all stored on SharePoint or OneDrive directly in the Solibri environment.
However, the integration is not just limited to accessing files. You can also easily save your SMC files back to SharePoint or OneDrive. This ensures that your data remains synchronized, up-to-date, and accessible across platforms.
In addition, the Update Models feature in Solibri now extends its capabilities to these platforms. You can quickly update your files and ensure you are always working with the most current versions, which promotes both accuracy and productivity.
Essentially, by integrating SharePoint and OneDrive into our ecosystem, we are extending your ability to manage and edit project files, making Solibri not just a tool, but an integrated workspace tailored to your needs. Read this help article to learn more.

Enhanced Filtering Mechanism
With a focus on user-friendliness, we are introducing an advanced ‘IFC Type’ category within our component type filter. With this feature, users can effortlessly browse and select from a comprehensive list of available IFC Types. For added convenience, these types can be sorted based on the IFC2X3 or IFC4.
Moreover, to ensure that the filtering experience is as streamlined and relevant as possible, we’ve incorporated a feature that lets users choose solely from the IFC types present in their currently loaded model. Learn more.
Info view quick actions
Users can now leverage the convenience of right-click actions when viewing a property or attribute within the info view. The following quick actions are now available:
- “Add to Filtering”: Selecting this option allows users to quickly add the component, property and value to their filter. After launching, the filter view is displayed with the added elements. Learn more.
- “Create New Classification”: This action facilitates the immediate creation of a new classification using the selected component and property. Learn more.
- “Create New Information Takeoff”: With this, users can promptly generate a new Information Takeoff, integrating the selected Component, Property, and Value. Learn more.
These right-click functionalities are more than just shortcuts—they are designed to drive efficiency, especially catering to beginners who might not be familiar with classifications, ITOs, or filters. With this, Solibri further ensures an easy and user-friendly experience.
New BCF Live Connector Server: Poolarserver
In our ongoing mission to enhance our BCF Live Connector’s capabilities, we are happy to announce the addition of a new server connection - the German “Poolarserver” Server. This integration complements our existing range of server connections, facilitating the smooth synchronization of detected issues to various Issue Management Systems or Common Data Environments (CDEs).
The Poolarserver is a web-based collaboration platform tailored for the construction industry’s projects and offices. It serves as a central hub, managing all essential project-related information from documents, tasks, to communications. By bringing the power of Poolarserver to our ecosystem, we aim to provide project teams with an even more streamlined and efficient method to remain organized and on top of their tasks.
With this integration, Solibri further reinforces its commitment to facilitating smooth project workflows and interconnectivity in the construction domain.
New UI for Integrations Page
This redesign not only emphasizes clarity but also takes user interaction to the next level.
Embracing a Card-Based Layout: With the introduction of a card-based layout, users are now treated to a visually cohesive and structured presentation of the available integrations. Each card offers a snapshot of vital details about the respective integration. This refined approach ensures users can effortlessly identify, understand, and connect to their desired servers.
