Solibri Releases Automated Code Checking for Accessibility

HELSINKI, Finland, November 14, 2007 — Solibri, Inc. today announced a new version 4.2 of Solibri Model Checker ™ (SMC), the market leading software for automated design review and analysis of Building Information Models (BIM).

Solibri Model Checker™ version 4.2 introduces the next step on Building Information Modeling analysis. The checking and analysis features of Solibri Model Checker will ensure that you have sufficient and flawless information available for Automated Building Code Checking. This new version has also built in rules for egress analysis and now, for the first time as a standard feature in commercial software, accessibility rules following both North-American and European standards.

Accessibility rules have been developed in co-operation with Statsbygg the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property and Skanska Finland one of the largest construction companies in Finland.

Accessibility

Solibri Model Checker has parameterized rules for checking various accessibility issues including wheel chair turning circle, and stair, ramp, and door dimensions and clearances. Currently the following Rule Sets are available:

  • International ISO/CD 21542
  • International Code Council ICC/ANSI A117.1.

The parameters and classification settings are adjustable by the user and rules can be modified to work according to other building codes.

Solibri Model Checker Version 4.2 provides the following major features:

  • Windows Vista Support for both 32bit and 64bit platforms
  • Network license management is rebuilt.
