Spotlight On Solibri - Issue 2017-01
True Spatial Analysis with Solibri Model Checker!
Welcome to 2017! It feels as though the industry has hit the ground running this year. Projects are moving forward, there is an air of optimism and it feels as though Owners, Design firms, and General Contractors are all increasing activity levels. This feels good, especially after the past several years.
Spatial Analysis
As our users dive a bit deeper into SMC, there is increased interest in a better understanding of how spaces are handled. Some of the rulesets that are specifically focused on different space types are getting a lot of attention, and aligning the information in the model authoring software with the checks in SMC is a necessary consideration. In this issue, we have written two (2) use case articles, as well as one Tip & Trick item that are all focused on working with spaces. Our plans for future issues is to have a central theme, then at least one (1) Use Case article and one (1) Tip & Trick dedicated to that topic. Hopefully, this supports your workflow and addresses some real world issues that you may encounter.
Our remaining Tip addresses one of the views in SMC that will be useful to you when reviewing issues that are identified from your checks.
