Solibri discussed fire safety at the Digital Construction Week
Solibri UK has attended the Digital Construction Week in London alongside other sister companies in the Nemetschek Group including Graphisoft, Vectorworks, dRofus, and Bluebeam.
During this event, Andrew Bellerby, the Managing Director, and Simon Gilbert, the Technical Services Manager at Solibri UK got to meet up with like-minded professionals, who are focused on delivering innovation and technology for the built environment.
This event offered the perfect opportunity to learn about the tools and processes shaping the future of the building field, and get to know the latest solutions and trends through interactive demos, seminars and workshops. Many curious minds visited our stand and got to know more about Solibri's unique benefits and offers, this was also the perfect opportunity to have a chat with our existing customers who came to hear the latest news.
We got to share our stall with our sister-company Imerso, which provides a solution for automatic built-vs-BIM monitoring. It allows the user to visualise BIM and reality together, tag IFC objects from BIM and add comments, do remote virtual visits with First Person navigation and 360° images, and take accurate measurements, angles, and cross-sections.
Our interested customers got to see demos from Solibri and Imerso and gave good feedback regarding the way they work for the common goal of minimising the time, effort, and resources spent to fix the building errors before they become too expensive.
Stop Fire! Digitally!
During this event, Simon Gilbert got to talk about fire safety. He presented how digital models (BIM) can be used to mitigate risks involved with the complex issue of fire stopping.
Identifying compliance issues in the design stages can be a laborious and manual task prone to human error due to the many dependencies, regulations and rules that must be observed. That's when using Solibri to digitally check models for fire safety issues and compliance plays a big role in saving time with this often manual and labour intensive task. It also mitigates risks related to fire safety and the golden thread.
